A popular symbol of hard work and wholesomeness, the honeybee has been adopted as an officialy symbol by at least twenty states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
